How Hyper-Genetics Was Started

In 2014, Jim Raffone initiated a study partnering with the University of Minnesota to learn more about HBOT and children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Jim’s primary goal was to rescue the cardiac pulmonary and respiratory functions of children with DMD. Through those discoveries is when Jim pursued research on more of a personal level and that’s when Hyper-Genetics was born.

Never Giving Up Hope

How Hyper-Genetics Helps Those Suffering from Duchenne. After researching and learning that Duchenne has been around for 200 years and there hasn’t been much progress to slow down this disease which still has no cure, through JAR of Hope funding JAR913 and JAR914, HG remains steadfast in its mission to knock out this disease, which until now has been undefeated. We partner with charities and private investors who have the same goal to finance the necessary research that could result in a promising Duchenne therapy. The hope is JAR914 becomes the new standard of care. The hope is to cure this horrific illness, and to preserve the innocent smiles of Jamesy and other boys suffering from Duchenne for as long as possible.

Founded and run by Jim Raffone, Hyper-Genetics is an organization that gives Jamesy and thousands of boys just like him the chance to beat a disease that currently has no cure. We partner with CROs, clinicians and creating parent study groups to first slow the progression of the disease down and our goal is to ultimately find a cure for this disease. We take on investors who have the same goal, to finance the necessary research that could result in enhanced Duchenne treatment.
